Where should we stay?

We have a room block with two hotels nearby to the wedding venue, we recommend staying at either. To maximize your experience we would suggest staying in Roma Norte for your first few nights in order to be close to our Night Before event and to get the real city experience, then moving to one of the hotels or a nearby hotel in Santa Fe for the night of.

Are There Any Room Blocks for Guests?

We have room blocks with two hotels nearby to the wedding venue, The Hyatt House and The Sleep Inn in Sante Fe, CDMX. Please see the "Travel" section for more details and how to book using our discount.

Will there be a shuttle to and from the wedding?

Yes, we will have a shuttle leaving from The Hyatt House at a specific time before the main event. With shuttles departing the venue and dropping off at the same hotel later in the evening. Guests staying in Roma Norte can Uber to the venue or to the hotel to grab the shuttle. Reception will be limited at the venue so taking an Uber from the hotel on your way home will be necessary.

How far are the hotels from the airport?

It is about an hour or more drive from the airport to the hotels near the wedding venue depending on time of day. If you are staying in Roma Norte it is around 40 minutes.

The wedding is outside the city, can we still stay in the central city?

If you'd like to stay closer to our welcome event and get the real city experience we suggest staying in Roma Norte or La Condesa, it is wonderful and walkable to endless highly rated restaurants, bars, shops, and historical monuments. Please refer to the "Travel" section for further details. The shuttle will depart from The Hyatt House in Santa Fe before the event so please plan accordingly.

When should we arrive?

Whenever you'd like! We will be getting there roughly 5 days early to relax and spend time with all the other early birds.

Are Kids Invited to the wedding?

Respectfully, we are trying to make this a mostly-no-kids wedding.

Should I rent a car while I'm there?

No, there is no need for a car unless you plan on doing some traveling outside the city. Ubers are quick, cheap, and easily accessible all around the city. We would suggest syncing up with a larger party to coordinate a car from the airport to your destination, either through Uber or another car service we will announce at a later date.

I heard Mexico City has high altitude, will this be an issue?

Mexico City is at a higher altitude than most cities in the U.S. so you may or may not experience some type of reaction to this. We suggest taking it easy, drinking extra electrolytes, and avoiding alcohol for the first 24 hours. Any access to high altitude to prep before the trip is a plus!

What is the weather like?

It is warm in May in Mexico City, around 80 degrees with cooler temps starting in the evening. The venue is in the middle of the forest so expect it to be about 10 degrees cooler than the city. We will have heaters for our guests for later in the evening.

Is there a dress code? Or a theme?

Suggested dress code is evening cocktail to formal attire. No theme all vibes but expect rich colors.

Will my cell phone work in CDMX?

Please check with your cell phone provider prior to the trip to ensure that you will have full service. Most providers work the same in Mexico and Canada but if not you can always purchase an e-sim. There are many apps that you can use to purchase one and set up takes less than 10 minutes, one we often use is called Airalo. We encourage you to do your own research and find one that best suits your cell phone and needs.

There are no direct flights from Fresno to CDMX but there are connecting flights from Fresno to Guadalajara or San Francisco.
